Comparing the various dental plans in my area was really easy when I could look at them side to side and really see the differences in pricing for different procedures. Click here to compare plans today I was also able to switch plans once to a plan with lower fees on the root canal I needed. Most dentists do participate and I was shock to find my dentist participated in several of the plans in my area. I wanted a dentist that was affordable and of good quality. You only have one set of teeth and I didn’t want them negatively affected. This really added up to significant savings for me and over the course of a year saved my family $680.00 which more than covered the annual enrollment fee. If seems that if you do not have a traditional insurance plan through your employer or work, you just simple do not have any type of coverage and you are stuck paying full price. I tried to get a traditional individual dental insurance and I was running up against brick walls with the sign-up process and I was told I’d likely have to wait a year to get the plan activated. Studies show that you should go to the dentist for an oral exam, cleaning, and bitewing x-ray every 6-months, although it may no be necessary to get x-rayed more than once per year. Saving anything at a specialist is better than paying full-price I always say. |
